The Spooky Graveyard
By DeAna

Once upon a time long, long ago when the world was new, there was a wet spooky, uncomfortable forest. In the forest, there were a lot of gross wet spider webs which lead you all the way to a strange lake.

One sunny Summer morning Hannah, the stinky stunk, asked DeAna, the Turtle to go and meet Jeanna, the Magic Fish, down in the Palace by the lake.
“Don’t go through the haunted grave yard” Hannah said to DeAna.
DeAna put on her white and red hat and her matching shirt along with a pair of blue jeans. Before she left for her walk she packed some food & water. DeAna shouted,” I’ll be back soon Hannah.”

That morning was cool and sunny, DeAna felt nervous about what was going to happen if she went into the haunted grave yard. After a couple of hours of walking, the sky began to turn black & the weather turned rainy & cold. DeAna stopped to take a break because she was getting tired and hungry.
All of a sudden she heard someone calling her name. She was very frightened and didn’t know what to do. She kept walking further and further until she noticed that she was in the haunted grave yard.

As soon as DeAna entered the haunted grave yard, she heard a lot of spooky noises. DeAna was trying to run out of there so fast that she bumped into a grave stone and made it flip over. DeAna tripped and fell under it.

All of a sudden, a small, skinny old man came towards her. The old man’s breath smelled really bad like 3,000 dirty old socks. Didi Nozidi was his name, the dead evil old man. His teeth looked like green and brown mold. He voice sounded like a huge giant as he yelled, “You will be my lunch!”

DeAna was vey scarred, but replied back to the old man, “I challenge you to a race.” Didi Nozidi said, “OK”. I then said, “We have to race down the hill.” Didi Nozidi agreed, and off we went, “On your marks, get ready and go!” I ran as fast as I could and ran down to another path where I knew Didi Nozidi could not find me.

Around thirty minutes later after running so fast, DeAna arrived back at Jeanna’s, the magic fish, Palace. Jeanna was playing cards with her friend. DeAna wanted to warn Jeanna that the evil old man, Didi Nozidi was coming. Jeanna used her magic to stop the old man from coming to capture them. The magic worked and it made Didi Nozidi disappear forever.
Eveyone at the palace was happy again.

It was time for DeAna to go back home so she waved good-bye to all her friends. Then Jeanna said, “Wait, I will use my magic to get you home faster.” DeAna said, “Sure, that’s a great idea!”

When DeAna returned back to her home at the Castle, she told Hannah, the stinky skunk, everything about her trip, except for the haunted graveyard because she didn’t want Hannah to get mad at her for going there. She kept it her secret.
