Patsy the Banana

Once upon a time back when fruits could talk, Patsy the banana lived with Maggie the apple in a market place near the city. Patsy had a sister named LooLoo. Maggie and Patsy were best friends and LooLoo lived with Mariel the Monkey at the palace.
One humid summer afternoon, Maggie and Patsy were riding bikes and they saw a scroll. They opened it and it said: Come help me and Patsy’s sister from the giant broccoli. From, Mariel the Monkey. Maggie said, “Go and save your sister and Mariel the Monkey. But whatever you do, don’t go to the forbidden tower.”
Patsy put on a T-shirt and a visor, she packed a water bottle and a sweatshirt. She said, “See you later Maggie.”
The air was hot and humid and the road was bumpy, muddy and dark brown. Patsy felt excited as she walked along.
A half an hour later, the road turned into gray gravel, it got windy and the temperature dropped. Patsy felt nervous.
Patsy stopped to rest and took a long chug of water from her water bottle. Just then, Patsy put down her water bottle and noticed that while she was drinking a cage fell around her. She saw the key and grabbed it. She opened the cage and ran as fast as she could. When she stopped she found herself in a stairway in a tower.
Patsy stared around herself. Then all of a sudden, it all went black. She was in a sack. Before she could figure out who did it, she felt like she was being lifted. When she was put down she was behind bars. The troublemaker was a green skinned witch. She smelt like skunk and had an evil laugh. Patsy was terrified. Baba Rapaba the witch said, “What is your power?”
“Flying,” said Patsy.
“Then I challenge you to flying race. You win, I let you go. I win, I eat you.”
“O.K.” said Patsy. But she thought, what have I gotten myself into!?
Patsy didn’t want to risk getting eaten so she came up with a plan. When Baba Rapaba let Patsy out of the cage and led her downstairs, she said, “We will go to the lake and back.” Patsy and Baba Rapaba lined up and Baba said “Ready, Set. Go!” Baba Rapaba dashed forward and Patsy went the other way. When Baba came back to the tower she said, “Grrr! I’ll get you next time you little worthless fruit!”
Patsy bolted to the palace. When she got there, Mariel and LooLoo were hiding under the kitchen table with their mouths covered with their hands because of the broccoli stench.
Patsy grabbed Mariel and LooLoo, flew out the window because the doors were locked, and landed them safely on the grass. Mariel said, “Thanks Patsy, you’re a lifesaver.”
“Bye,” said Patsy and flew straight back home thinking “Good think Mariel the Monkey didn’t eat me! She loves bananas!”
“How was your trip?” said Maggie, when Patsy got home.
“Great. When I started it was warm and the road was muddy. Then it got cold so I put my sweatshirt on. The road turned into gravel. There was a boulder in my way, so I flew over it. When I got to the palace, I saved Mariel and LooLoo and now I am here.”
“Cool. I wish I came with you,” said Maggie.
“Trust me, no you don’t!” said Patsy. And Maggie never found out about the Forbidden Tower.
