Mystical Estuary

Long, Long ago in a galaxy far, far away sat an igloo in the middle of the desert. The desert was as flat as a piece of paper. It had so many cacti that when you looked down you saw green. The igloo was like a castle in the desert. Inside there was a small bedroom and a couple other rooms. In the igloo lived Chaz the chicken with Gabe the fish. Chaz could spit like no other. One hot spring afternoon Chaz the chicken was trying to spit a kernel through the wall. Gabe the fish was swimming in the pool when he saw a notice about a food fight. The prize was a cafeteria. Gabe told Chaz to go tell Evan the elephant who lived next to the Carpathia River. Gabe told Chaz not to go to the mystical estuary.
Chaz put on his stainless shirt. He packed firewood and lots of popcorn kernels. It was sunny and hot in the desert. The road was bumpy and curvy. Chaz felt alone scared and excited. The ground was like giant rock sitting under you, and the air was very dusty. After three hours, it got very dark outside. Minutes later the road changed. Hills grew and the road turned red as an apple. Later sleet and rain fell from the sky like rockets being shot out of a cannon. Chaz stopped because he wanted to grab a bite to eat. Just at that moment, Chaz heard a voice in front of him calling his name over and over again. He was so frightened he ran into some sort of estuary.
The second Chaz entered, he stepped into a snare trap fly into the air. Then he realized it was the mystical estuary. He was hanging upside down when he smelled something tasty. He heard the creature’s feet on the ground. Then he saw it!... It was an ant! Then he let out a sigh of relief.
The ant barked, “That’s what they all say.” His voice was deep and loud. The ant said, “My name is Nini Cahini. I will call all of my cousins and have them eat you down to your very last bones. COUSINS!. Come to me and feast!” He screamed. Then Chaz heard what sounded like an elephant.
Chaz really had to think. So he said , “If you let me go, I will give you lot of popcorn kernels.” Then Nini Cahini let him go. Chaz started to spit popcorn kernels that blocked the door. When he could get through, he ran faster then ever before.
Finally Chaz was safe at the river. There stood Evan the elephant drinking water. Chaz called, “Evan, you’re invited to the food fight at the igloo.” Evan didn’t answer; he was too busy drinking water with his trunk. Chaz yelled again, “ You’re invited to the food fight!”

Evan replied, “OK, and thank you, Chaz. I will shoot you home with my trunk. Hop in , Chaz. Chaz got in. Then he yelled good-bye and Evan shot him to his igloo. Chaz told Gabe everything even about the mystical estuary.
Gabe said, “You are ground for eternity.”
