Lauren the Cheetah

Once upon a time, way back when animals could talk, and the whole world was covered with water except one part, there was an island that was all forest. In that forest there was a river about 10 feet wide. Next to the river there was a little shack. The shack was made of bamboo. The bamboo was dark brown. In the shack there was a cheetah named Lauren who could sing mind controlling songs, and she lived with a monkey named Makayla who was only two feet tall. Makayla sent Lauren on different missions since Makayla was too short.
One enchanted fall morning, Lauren and Makayla were baking caramel brownies. All of a sudden, a rock flies through the window rapidly and there was a note attached to it. Lauren picked it up and read “The world will end @ 4:00 P.M. and to stop it, Makayla must go to her sister Jasmine’s house to stop it. And to stop it you must turn off the timer by pressing the giant red button” When Lauren told that to Makayla, she said she could not do it because she would never get there by 4:00 P.M. since Jasmine’s hut by the beach was seven hours away and it is already 10:00 A.M. Next Lauren said that she would run all the way in about three hours. Right then, Makayla said never to go to The Devil’s Tower.
It was a frosty fall morning. The ground was wet with dew and the sun was shining bright. Lauren was putting on her purple sweatshirt and gray sweatpants. She grabbed her water, some money, pliers, and night vision goggles. Lauren went to Makayla and said, “I’m sorry but I have to go right now to stop the world from ending.” When Lauren set out on the road, she felt like she had the world in her own hands. The road was rocky and bumpy and the weather was chilly and frosty. The sun was just over the horizon. Lauren was traveling for about two hours and suddenly the road became smooth granite and the weather changed to the sun shining bright in the sky and it felt like summer. In the distance Lauren saw a sign that said “Sydney’s Ice Cream Shop”. Just then, she saw a flying monkey with a little hat and a name tag that said, “Hello, my name is George”. Lauren said hello to the monkey and he said to follow him. Lauren followed him down a path of sand. They finally reached a tall, tall, “white” building with a black roof. Lauren entered the building feeling curios because she loved to go on adventures.
Just when Lauren entered the building, she heard the door lock. Not knowing what was happening, she looked around and saw a sign that said “The Devil’s Tower”, the place Makayla told Lauren never to go. All of a sudden, Lauren fell through the trap door just big enough for her to fall through. Suddenly Lauren saw a purple slimy animal with ten legs and its back had lumps on it. The creature say four words, “You are trapped forever!” Its voice was low and it smelled like rotten eggs and milk. By then, Lauren felt nauseous and frightened because she did not know what was going on. Just then the creature said, “I know you have a special power, so tell me or you will have to go into the teddy bear cage.” The reason it was the teddy bear cage was since at the Devil’s Tower, cuddly is evil and bad is good.
Lauren had to think harder than ever before! Just then Lauren started singing an addicting song. While Lauren was singing, Kuku Raguku, the strange creature opened the cage that Lauren was in and she ran as fast as she could back into the forest saying ’’So Long Sucker!”
Luckily, Lauren was only 3 minutes away from Jasmine’s hut. When she arrived, Jasmine was sitting in her big fluffy chair reading a book and it was only about 3:30 P.M. Lauren asked Jasmine why she could not press the read button. She told Lauren that she did not know what to do. Lauren pressed the button as fast as she could and on the screen it said, “The world will not end.” Lauren was relieved. Lauren asked Jasmine if she had a quick way to get home and Jasmine said that Lauren could use her magic broomstick that would fly right back to Lauren’s home. While Lauren flew out the door, Jasmine yelled “Thank You!”
Once Lauren and Makayla greeted each other, Lauren said, ”I had an amazing adventure!” “What happened?” Makayla asked. Lauren thought about telling Makayla about going in the Devil’s Tower. Lauren decided to tell her. “On my way to tell Jasmine, the road changed from rocky and bumpy to as smooth as granite, and the weather changed from cool to hot. “When did that happen?” asked Makayla. “When I entered the Devil’s Tower.” replied Lauren. Makayla asked Lauren why she went in the Devil’s Tower. Lauren told her because it was disguised as Sydney’s Ice Cream Shop. Lauren told Makayla everything about what happened to her. Makayla could not believe it.
