Ham and May

by Anya

Once there was a hamster named Hams who lived with a black and white kitten named May. She had brown spots. They lived in a cottage it was made by Ham’s grandmother. It was black. It was near the rocky forest. They had a garden, and it had daffodils this year. They were yellow and white. Hams was so good at sketching that she could draw a monster in twenty seconds and do it on a tree.
One day, May asked, “Hams, go to the store and get me a tissue box because I have a cold.” She sniffled when she said it. May warned Hams not to go to the Enchanted Forest, “Because the trees will attack you.” She thought Hams would go to the Enchanted Forest. He put on his blue jacket and said, “bye, Hams.” As he walked out he noticed a rainbow. It reminded him of May. It made him feel sad because he had to go so far away. Suddenly, he got so distracted he went to the Enchanted Forest backward and rocked his head.
Just then, something terrible happened! The trees came and saw him. He was in big trouble because the tree said, “Every one look a person.” Luckily, he was very good at sketching. He had to think of a way to get out of trouble so he thought and thought and so he thought of an idea and said, “Oh no a ship.” All the trees looked and they bent and the branches came down. She pulled it off she drew on him all the trees laughed at him. Hams ran away.
Finally, he was safe again. Now he just had to go and get the tissues. He ran and ran to the store. When he got home, May yelled and looked serious. “Did you go near the Enchanted Forest?”
“NO!” but he had to tell the truth.
“Next time, you need to go with me,” said May.
