See-Through Joe’s Big Adventure

By Lillian DeSilva-Beal

Once upon a time there lived a skeleton named Bony. He lived with a ghost named See-through Joe. They lived together in a mansion made out of rotten wood and bricks. The mansion was surrounded by grave stones where their dead relatives were buried. Only the walkway didn’t have gravestones on it. One day See-through Joe and Bony were putting flowers on their relatives’ graves … when See-through Joe groaned, “We don’t have enough flowers. Bony, you go to the flower shop and get some.”
“OK” said Bony, “as long as you do not dig up Bony Nail’s grave.”
“OK,” said See-through Joe. After Bony left See-through Joe got a shovel and bounced around Bony Nail’s grave … all of a sudden “Wam” The shovel dug deep into the dirt .
“Ahoh,” moaned See-through Joe. “I just dug up the grave of Bony Nails.”
All of a sudden he saw the dirt moving he heard a moan. He jumped back and screamed before him stood a huge skeleton with dirty clothes on. Bony Nail’s arms stretched out like a zombie. She started to chase him.
All of a sudden he remembered Bony Nails loved the Baby B. Book of ABC so he put the radio on ABC and Bony Nails ran out. She dove into the grave. See-through Joe cleaned everything up. When Bony got home he said, “Did you listen to me?”
“Yes” Joe replied
“OK” said Bony “But your grounded for a week.” Bony knew See-through Joe went to Bony Nail’s grave by his worried tone.
THE END
